At the Houston Food Bank, I volunteered with the volunteer club from school for 4 hours. While there, we needed to help organize packages of food into boxes so the workers could deliver them to families that can't provide their children more than one meal per day.
I volunteered at the Mandarin Chinese Language Immersion Magnet School during the Chinese New Year Event. I had to help with the Chinese Calligraphy and Frisbee booths. There I saw a lot of children from China, Taiwan and America that spoke fluent Chinese and performed dances and songs. I also met the principal of the school and Jessica Beinecke, a Youtuber and Chinese teacher in New York who was invited as a special guest and also helped as a volunteer.
